Download and install App

The easiest is to go straight to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and download LuvTrails App. But if you see a green heart-shaped sign on or near a trail head and you wonder what it is, follow these steps:

Step 1:

For iPhone:
• Point your camera at any green heart-shaped LuvTrails QR, scan the code and tap on the banner at the top: Open “luvtrails.com” in Safari.
• In the LuvTrails site scroll down to Download LuvTrails for free from your App Store and tap on Apple link. Click Open.
• Install the App.
• Open the App and register as a user. (You can browse the App without registering, but then you can’t make a donation, save your favorite trails or buy a pass for paid-access trail parks).
• Submit your info and you are good to go.

For Android:
• Open QR reader (camera phone can’t scan code). If you don’t have a QR scanner App, download one in Google Play Store here for free: https://bit.ly/2q0xd3z.
• Point scanner App at any of the 3 heart shaped QRs, scan the code and click Open link. Open with Chrome.
• In the LuvTrails site scroll down to Download LuvTrails for free from the Android app store. Tap on Google Play link.
• Install the App.
• Open the App and register as a user. (You can browse the App without registering, but then you can’t make a donation, save your favorite trails or buy a pass for paid-access trail parks).
• Submit your info and you are good to go.

Step 2:
Once you have downloaded LuvTrails App you don’t have to scan the green heart QR code again. But you will have to “Allow” access to your location on your mobile device to enable maximum use of the App.
• For iPhones access Settings>LuvTrails>Location and switch from Never to While Using.
• For Android visit Settings>General>Lock screen & Security>Privacy>Location, turn ON.

Step 3:
Once you have registered you can open the App Homepage and use the built-in QR scanner ([ ] icon in top right hand corner) to scan any green heart QR at any trail head, on a website, in social media, on flyers, business cards, and even on bumper stickers and beer coasters! You will automatically be directed to the Donation page of the local non-profit organization. Use the slider bar to pick the dollar value and donate (add to Cart). After a successful credit card payment your digital receipt (for a donation or a pass) will appear in your Donations or Passes tab. Offer this receipt as prove of payment if asked by a rewards partner or landowner.
